“Land Based Leanring”
Burrrr! Fall is here, the yellow and orange is in the air. The idea land based learning is to connected to land as one, and understanding that learning can happen anywhere and everywhere. While being on the land today we honoured the ancestral lands of the traditional territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nations. Being on the land, although it was freezing, we can connect to the land as simple as being on the land it self, and how we can connect to the place we are in. When being surrounded by a different environment we allow our learning to open up, and have a different perspective of what is physically around us, and how can we learn from it.
Today’s learning focus for EDUC 394 was the idea of understanding how to write and make a lesson plan. Not only did we get to work individually on lesson planning, but we had the opportunity to collaborate with our fellow classmates in the cohort. The importance of Lesson Plans are not only for us as teachers, but for the students, so we can set them up for the best possible outcome.
Musi Christine for taking us to CottonWood Park.
